The Malta Froshmore football team continued their undefeated season with a 30-0 win over Havre's JV team on Monday, October 9 in Malta.
Malta jumped out to an early 18-0 lead in the first quarter when Mustang quarterback Kooper Oxarart connected with Cormac Benn on a 24-yard touchdown pass.
Cordell Salsbery's 1-yard touchdown plunge put the Mustangs up 12-0 before a 90-yard touchdown run from Benn gave Malta an 18-0 edge (Benn would add two more long touchdowns in both the second and fourth quarters, one of them on a 60-yard punt return.)
Malta played tightfisted defense all evening long in shutting out the Blue Ponies and have only allowed one touchdown in the past eight quarters played.
