Dodson School adds three to staff in 2017

Name: Colleen Haney

Hometown: Malta, Mont., via Ulm, Mont.

Position at Dodson: Elementary teacher (kindergarten, art, and reading.)

High School & Grad Year: Cascade High School, Cascade, Mont.

University or College, year grad and degree: B.A. in Elementary Education - University of Great Falls, also received credits from the University of Montana, and Seattle Pacific University.

Last teaching job, where, when and what position: I've always taught elementary education, three years in Dodson, 18 years in Great Falls, nine years in Vancouver, Wash., and two years in Salem, Ore.

Hobbies: I enjoy fishing with my husband, teaching children at my church, cooking, reading, and riding my bike.

Favorite Food: Shrimp.

What I did this summer: My travels began with Phoenix, Ariz., in May then on to southern California. I spent a week in Lethbridge, AB, Canada, visiting relatives. I attended the Milk River Gospel Jamboree, DownPour Festival, the Fort Peck Theater, the Phillips County Fair and, finally, I took a week to camp and fish with my husband.

Favorite song (and by whom): I enjoy most of the Contemporary Christian music.

Last teaching job, where, when and what position: I am finishing up my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

Hobbies: Horseback riding, having fun with my boys and running.

Favorite Food: Tacos and enchiladas.

What I did this summer: I took two summer classes.

University or College, year grad and degree: MSU Bozeman, Elementary Education, 1990. Walden, Degree in Reading and Literacy, 2010. Science Education, MSU Bozeman, 2012.

Last teaching job, where, when and what position: I was teaching third grade at Fort Smith, Montana.

Hobbies: Shopping, decorating, and cooking.

Favorite Food: I love Mexican food!

What I did this summer: I spent my summer preparing and participating in my wedding to Mr. Gary Weitz. It was a great time.
