Dodson News for September 20, 2017

Polly Solberg and Dora Henry were in Havre for a day of visiting and shopping. They visited Marilyn Henry and went to see Betty Munson at the nursing home but she had gone home a day before and they were not able to get there.

The funeral for Bernice (Longpre) Morgan was held at the Catholic Church in Dodson with the burial in Zortman. Myrna Williamson and Bonnie Wiederrick were up from Malta to help with the funeral and reception. Condolences are sent to the Morgan and Kolczack families.

Dora Henry attended a COA meeting in Malta on Wednesday.

Bonnie Lankford was in town from the farm on Thursday.

Carl Solberg and the former Douglas Dolphay of Billings were going around Monday trying to renew any childhood ties and people who might remember Douglas. They visited several residents and the two farms of the families up north that both remembered.There was a Dutch treat meeting at the Westside Monday evening for any and all to visit and exchange stories from the 50s.

And of course, the big news was — RAIN — and pretty much all over the state and since we had not had any for months it was very welcome. We did not get as much as some would have liked but in other parts of the state they received more and it has helped those fighting the wildfires and has put some out. Snow was received in some of the higher elevations

Wink and Terri Cole went to Billings to be with daughter Shannon when her husband has an operation on Tuesday.

Happy Birthday wishes are sent to Bonnie Lankford and everyone having a birthday this week.

Expecting success without hard work is like trying to harvest where you haven't planted.
