August 18, 2017

11:30 p.m. Ft Belknap LE requested PCSO assistance with a vehicle pursuit on Hwy 2 and Route 8; Deputies responded to the call; vehicle later stopped; case file started.

August 19, 2017

3:29 a.m. Red Flag Warning remains in effect until 6am today; Red Flag Warning in effect from noon until 9pm tonight.

6:05 p.m. Red Flag Warning remains in effect from noon to 9pm today.

7:09 a.m. 911 received reporting a fire south of Saco; Saco Fire Dept responded to the call; fire later controlled and extinguished.

9:09 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory in effect until 8pm tonight.

11:02 a.m. Saco Fire Dept reported a haystack fire that started and they were monitoring it.

11:51 a.m. Local MHP Trooper transported one adult male, Winston Stewart, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on Criminal Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Suspended and Speeding charges.

3:11 p.m. BNSF Police reported a crossing arm malfunction at the Stine’s crossing and a maintainer was enroute to repair it.

4:40 p.m. Female reported a rattlesnake on the Malta Trail near Trafton Park; Deputy responded to the call; snake not located.

5:45 p.m. Female reported finding keys near Fourchette Bay.

7:05 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory is canceled.

7:35 p.m. Deputy released one adult male, Winston Stewart, from PCSO Jail on bond.

August 20, 2017

9:40 a.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew handled the call.

4:05 p.m. Juveniles reported an individual not taking care of a dog at a local residence; ACO handled the call.

5:19 p.m. Female reported a dead deer on Hwy 191, just south of Malta; Deputy responded to the call and removed the deer.

11:11 p.m. Female reported a vehicle/deer accident on Hwy 2, west of Malta; deer was still alive; Deputy responded to the call and humanely euthanized the deer; white form issued.

August 21, 2017

2:17 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area.

5:27 a.m. Female reported a possible poaching; information passed onto Phillips and Blaine Co Fish & Game Wardens.

7:12 a.m. 911 received reporting a motorcycle/deer accident on Bear Gulch hill, near Zortman; Undersheriff, local EMT Crew and MHP Trooper responded to the call; case file started; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

9:30 a.m. Undersheriff released one adult male, Alex Nast, from PCSO Jail on time served.

10:24 a.m. Female reported a possibly vicious dog on a residential street; information passed onto ACO.

10:32 a.m. Local Ambulance reported to the airport for a flight crew pick up from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient.

11:21 a.m. 911 received reporting a CRP fire north of Wagner; local Fire Dept responded to the call; fire later controlled and extinguished.

12:14 p.m. Local Ambulance reported to the airport for a flight crew pick up from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient.

1:40 p.m. Deputy removed debris from Hwy 2, west of the Sleeping Buffalo.

3:15 p.m. Central Security reported a commercial fire alarm sounding at a local business; all found to be okay, and no fire.

3:48 p.m. 911 received reporting a grass fire in the Whitewater area; Loring and Whitewater Fire Depts responded to the call; fire later controlled and extinguished.

6:07 p.m. Male reported an erratic ATV on a residential street; Deputy responded to the call; driver advised to slow down and get a helmet on juvenile riders.

7:36 p.m. 911 received reporting a possibly missing juvenile; Deputy responded to the call; juvenile located and was okay.

11:04 p.m. Female reported being threatened by another female; Deputy handled the call; second female advised to have no contact in anyway with the reporting party.

August 22, 2017

9:53 a.m. City employee filed a written complaint regarding someone living in the Trafton Park bathroom; Sheriff responded to the call; case file started.

10:24 a.m. Male reported a dead deer on Hwy 191 north, near the Greenacres turnoff; information passed onto MT Dept of Transportation employee.

12:03 p.m. Female reported an ATV speeding and throwing rocks in a residential area; Undersheriff responded to the call; owner located and advised to park it.

12:23 p.m. Female reported a Publisher’s Clearing House scam.

1:08 p.m. 911 received reporting a grass fire, near Bowdoin; local Fire Dept and Bowdoin NWR Fire Crew responded to the call; fire later controlled and monitored.

2:46 p.m. Female reported a two vehicle, non-injury crash south of the Dry Fork Road; Deputy responded to the call; white forms issued.

4:49 p.m. US Customs & Border Protection Officer requested PCSO assistance with a possible DUI at the Port of Morgan; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

6:41 p.m. Female reported a possible identity theft; Deputy handled the call.

7:17 p.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving a recently fired party; Deputy handled the call.

7:46 p.m. Female requested assistance with a beeping in a garage; Deputy handled the call.

August 23, 2017

12:48 a.m. Male reported an erratic vehicle on Hwy 2, westbound towards Malta; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle located and driver was overly tired.

9:40 a.m. Male brought in a found bag; owner located and returned.

1:35 p.m. Central Security reported a commercial fire alarm sounding at a local business; all found to be okay, and no fire.

3:46 p.m. Female filed a verbal complaint regarding a vehicle “speeding” down a residential street; Undersheriff handled the call.

4:52 p.m. 911 received reporting a semi truck and trailer parked in the middle of Hwy 191 south; no one was around the vehicle; Deputy responded to the call; repairman responded to the location, repaired the vehicle and semi sent on his way.

5:49 p.m. 911 received reporting a one vehicle accident on Hwy 191 south of Malta; Deputy, local EMT Crew, Fire Dept and MHP Trooper responded to the call; case file started.

6:23 p.m. Female reported a semi in the middle of Hwy 191 south; caller advised it was reported and being taken care of.

6:45 p.m. Male reported a missing dog.

8:17 p.m. Male reported being harassed by a group of people in a vehicle; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle not located.

August 24, 2017

12:17 a.m. Male reported a one vehicle accident near the Weigh Station, west of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

4:30 a.m. Deputy removed a dead deer from Hwy 2.

4:39 a.m. Deputy performed building checks in the Dodson area.

9:14 a.m. Local MHP Trooper received a report of a male “slumped over” in a vehicle on 7 Mile Road near Zortman; Trooper responded to the call; male driver, Marvin Cole, later transported to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on Open Container, No Insurance and DUI charges.

10:04 a.m. Female reported a skunk near the PC Hospital; ACO handled the call.

11:17 a.m. Female reported a suspicious vehicle near the Malta Grade School; Sheriff responded to the call; male found to be selling books to raise money for college.

1:09pm Simplex Grinnell reported a commercial fire alarm sounding at a county school; caller advised was a reported fire drill and all ok.

1:28 p.m. Central Security reported a commercial fire alarm sounding at a local business; all found to be okay, and no fire.

2:32 p.m. Several more calls received reporting a suspicious vehicle near the Grade School and residences; callers advised male had been checked out and was okay.

3:29 p.m. Female requested a welfare check on a female in a vehicle in a local parking lot; Sheriff responded to the call; female was okay, just resting.

5:11 p.m. Female reported a missing credit card.

5:26 p.m. Deputy released one adult male, Marvin Cole, from PCSO Jail on bond.

6:22 p.m. Male reported a fire in the Larb Hills, near Telegraph Creek; South Malta FD, Malta FD, BLM Fire Crews and CMR Fire Crews responded to the call; several more fires started in the area & all crews assisted with containment & extinguishing them.

Several more calls/911s received reporting these fires in the Larb Hills.

6:24 p.m. Female reported a possible assault in Dodson; Deputies responded to the call; no assault occurred just a civil disagreement.

7:18 p.m. 911 received reporting a grass fire south of Saco; Saco Fire Dept and Valley Co FDs responded to the call; fire later controlled and monitored.

7:25 p.m. 911 received reporting a possible fire east of the Saco Cemetery; caller later advised was not north, but south of Saco and had been reported already.

7:47 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory for northeastern Phillips Co until 815pm; 40mph winds are possible.

7:54 p.m. 911 received reporting a fire south of Hinsdale; call transferred to Valley Co SO.

8:07 p.m. Valley Co SO requested Saco FD assistance with a fire south of Hinsdale; information passed onto Saco FD.

8:08 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a previously reported harassment situation; Deputy handled the call.

8:33 p.m. Male reported a suspicious vehicle just drove through his yard and is parked on a hill behind his residence; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle located and driver advised took a wrong turn; Deputy assisted with giving directions to the correct location

8:49 p.m. 911 received reporting someone banging on the caller’s door in Dodson; Deputy responded to the call; no one found in the area.

8:52 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northeastern Phillips Co until 945pm; 60mph gusts are possible.

8:54 p.m. Female reported a fire 2-3miles south of Saco; caller later reported it was the fire south of Hinsdale.

9:24 p.m. 911 received requesting assistance on the reservation; call transferred to Ft Belknap LE.

9:27 p.m. Deputy performed building checks in the Dodson area.
