As of July 10, 2017, Phillips Co is under STAGE ONE FIRE RESTRICTIONS, per the County Commissioners. This means campfires are restricted to designated recreation sites only. Smoking is prohibited outside of vehicles, buildings and developed recreation sites, unless you are in a 3 foot diameter area cleared of all burnable vegetation and materials.

11:30 p.m. Local MHP Trooper transported one adult male, Dan Simonson, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on DUI charges; male later released on bond.
August 5, 2017
12:22 a.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pickup from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew handled the call.
12:47 a.m. Female reported a crossing arm malfunction at the Strater Crossing; information passed onto BNSF Police.
3:15 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until midnight tonight.
3:17 a.m. Reserve Deputy requested Deputy assistance with a disturbance in the PC Fairgrounds area; Deputy responded to the call; female and male were separated and the male went to his camper for the night.
3:28 a.m. Female reported a vehicle/deer accident on Hwy 2, west of Malta; Deputy issued a white form.
3:47 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.
6:37 a.m. Border Patrol Agent reported a one vehicle accident, no injuries to the occupants, on Hwy 191 north of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.
9:00 a.m. Female reported a crossing arm malfunction at the Strater Crossing; information passed onto BNSF Police.
9:12 a.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for an unresponsive female at a Zortman residence; Deputy and local EMT Crew responded to the call; coroner case file started.
9:47 a.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance for an individual threatening a family member; Deputies responded to the call; situation taken care of without further incident.
10:48 a.m. Deputy released one adult male, Derek Bell, from PCSO Jail on bond.
10:51 a.m. Reserve Deputy reported to the PC Fairgrounds for security.
11:24 a.m. Local Ambulance reported to the PC Fairgrounds for fair coverage.
2:54 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until midnight.
5:26 p.m. Deputy released one adult male, Troy Salveson, from PCSO Jail on time served.
9:09 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory is canceled.
10:30 p.m. Male reported a crossing arm malfunction at the Strater Crossing; information passed onto BNSF Police.
August 6, 2017
12:50 a.m. Deputy and Reserve Deputy transported one adult male, Tel Colburn, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on Disorderly Conduct charges; male later released on bond paid; case file started.
9:30 a.m. Reserve Deputy reported to the PC Fairgrounds for security.
9:38 a.m. Local Ambulance reported to the PC Fairgrounds for fair coverage.
10:27 a.m. Male reported a possibly disabled vehicle on Hwy 2, west of Malta, blocking traffic; Undersheriff responded to the call; vehicle was not a traffic hazard and was not disabled.
12:18 p.m. Undersheriff released one adult male, Kori Bridle, from PCSO Jail on time served.
1:54 p.m. Reserve Deputy reported to the PC Fairgrounds for security.
8:21 p.m. Blaine Co SO reported a disabled vehicle with flares and cones around it on Hwy 2, just across the Blaine/Phillips Co line.
11:01 p.m. Deputy assisted a male with locating a vehicle that he could not find; vehicle later located.
August 7, 2017
1:43 a.m. Interstate Alarm reported a commercial burglar alarm sounding at a local business; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay; manager located and reset the alarm.
Several more calls received reporting the same type of alarm sounding at the same business; all was okay, just having issues with the alarm.
2:09 a.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a possible situation involving a male with a local warrant; caller was at the hospital requesting assistance; Deputy responded to the call; male not located in the Malta area.
8:53 a.m. Central Security reported a commercial fire alarm sounding at a local business; all found to be okay.
10:54 a.m. Local business reported an abandoned vehicle on a trailer near their business and would like it removed; owner located and advised to remove the vehicle and trailer.
1:39 p.m. Local apartment complex requested law enforcement assistance with evicting tenants; Undersheriff handled the call.
1:47 p.m. Central Security reported a commercial fire alarm sounding at a local business; all found to be okay.
8:36 p.m. Male reported ATVs and a side by side “tearing around Dodson”; Deputy responded to the call; no ATVs located moving or parked in the area.
8:58 p.m. Deputy performed a welfare check on a vehicle alongside of Hwy 2, in Dodson; all found to be okay, just fixing trailer wires.
9:07 p.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.
August 8, 2017
4:49 a.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for a male who couldn’t stop coughing; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.
6:59 a.m. Female reported two cans of camp fuel by a garbage can near Trafton Park; Undersheriff responded to the call and picked up the cans.
7:15 a.m. Male reported a dead deer in the middle of Hwy 2, west of the Sleeping Buffalo; information passed onto MT Dept of Transportation employee.
9:50 a.m. Male filed a verbal complaint regarding the new detour on 3rd St E while the Underpass is under construction; Sheriff handled the call.
11:40 a.m. Male reported a problem with the parking by a local business that was affecting the detour for the Underpass construction; Sheriff handled the call.
1:54 p.m. Male reported an erratic vehicle on Hwy 191 south, northbound towards Malta; Undersheriff responded to the call; vehicle located and driver found to be okay.
8:27 p.m. Interstate Security reported a commercial burglar alarm sounding at a local business; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay; manager located and reset the alarm.
8:58 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving a juvenile family member; Deputy responded to the call; information passed onto Ft Belknap LE.

7:45 a.m. Male reported a Dodson business had been broken into; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.
12:20 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with an on-going issue with the caller’s landlord; Undersheriff handled the call.
2:37 p.m. Local business requested law enforcement assistance with a vehicle and trailer parked in front of their business for over two hours; Undersheriff handled the call.
3:21 p.m. Female reported an IRS phone scam.

1:32 a.m. Deputy performed a security check on a residence with lights left on and there should be no one in the residence; individual located and advised to leave the premises or be charged; owner later contacted by the individual to get permission to go inside.
4:16 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.
7:24 a.m. Kenco Security reported a commercial burglar alarm sounding at a local business; Sheriff responded to the call; all found to be okay, accidentally set off by an employee.
8:21 a.m. Male reported a possible break-in to a Dodson residence and someone might be staying there at night; Sheriff responded to the call; case file started.
9:43 a.m. Blaine Co SO received a 911 reporting a large metal box in the middle of Hwy 2, near the Blaine/Phillips Co line; information passed onto MT Dept of Transportation employee.
10:03 a.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with getting a juvenile from another female; Sheriff responded to the call; case file started.
10:13 a.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with a road being blocked in the Zortman area; Sheriff handled the call.
11:12 a.m. Male reported a missing wallet and set of keys.
11:38 a.m. 911 received reporting a natural gas leak near a local residence; Sheriff and MDU employee responded to the call; leak located and repaired.
12:47 a.m. 911 received requesting assistance for a patient at Hi-Line; non-emergent assistance; information passed onto the nurse’s station.
1:14 p.m. Male reported theft of property; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.
1:48 p.m. Central Alarm reported a commercial fire alarm sounding at a local business; all found to be okay, no fire or smoke.
2:00 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving a rental tenant; Deputy handled the call.

10:05 a.m. PC Hospital requested law enforcement assistance with a suspicious situation; Deputy handled the call.
3:35 p.m. Female filed a written complaint regarding individuals harassing her; Deputy handled the call.
2:37 p.m. Deputy received a report that a juvenile that was taken by another female had been returned to the parents; information added to existing case file.
3:35 p.m. Female reported a male that had “walked into her apartment and walked back out”; nothing was taken and no damage to the apartment; Deputy handled the call.
