During the weekend of July 22-23 2017, A Mark 3 high pressure pump was stolen from Alder Gulch area in the Little Rocky Mountains. This pump is a specialized piece of equipment which was being used to run sprinkler lines during the July Fire which consumed nearly 12,000 acres of the Little Rocky Mountains in the early part of July. A hose and some miscellaneous fittings were also removed from the location.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of any person or persons involved in the theft of this pump. The value of this pump is between $3000 and $4000.
This pump is a crucial piece of firefighting equipment and is needed for suppression efforts as this fire season progresses throughout the state. The attached image is of a similar, but not the actual pump.
