Bert loved to entertain family and friends by singing along as he played his guitar and accordion. Bert always wore his cowboy hat and carried his walking stick whenever he hiked his beloved Little Rockies Mountains, which he did almost every day until his sight no longer allowed him. Bert always had a smile for anyone he met and was a kind and gentle soul.

Bert was an enrolled Assiniboine member of the Fort Belknap Reservation.

He is preceded in death by his father, Pat Azure and mother, Ida Mae Azure (Toombs); brothers: Leroy Azure, Levi Azure, Oliver Helgeson, Harold Helgeson, Clifford Helgeson and Paris Helgeson; sisters: Mildred Bauer (Helgeson) and Baby Girl Helgeson.

He is survived by sister Lillian Sharette (Helgeson) of Great Falls and although he never married or had any children, he loved, and was dearly loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
