Meals on Wheels

The GN has gotten the Meals on Wheels contract for the 2017-18 fiscal year. Congregate meals served at the GN will remain at $4 per meal.

Houlie's Memorial Golf Tournament

5-11. Houlie's Memorial Golf Tournament registration deadline is Tuesday, July 11 at 6 p.m. Forms available @ Marian Hills Golf Course.

De-mossing Canal

6-26 through 7-8. The Malta Irrigation District has tentative dates for de-mossing the canal starting on Monday, June 26 and completed on Saturday, July 8. Contact MID 654-1440 for any questions.

American Legion Auxiliary Meeting

7-6. The Malta American Legion Auxiliary will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, July 6 at 5 p.m., at the VFW Club

Historical Society Meeting

7-10. The Phillips County Historical Society meeting is scheduled Monday, July 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Phillips County Museum. Everyone welcome.

Dirt Dauber meeting

7-10. Malta Dirt Daubers will meet on Monday, July 10 at 6 p.m. at the Tin Cup for a no host dinner. We will make the final plans for our HG Robinson Flower Show.

Conservation District Public Hearing

7-11. The Phillips Conservation District will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 11 at 1 p.m. at the USDA Conference Room in Malta, Montana. The purpose of the public hearing will be to review the conservation district final budget and to consider levying a permissive medical mill to cover the increased costs in the group’s benefits line item for FY 2018.

Local Work Group Meeting

7-11. The Phillips Conservation District and the Malta NRCS Field Office will be holding a Local Work Group (LWG) Meeting July 11 at noon in the conference room at the Malta USDA building. The goal of the LWG meeting is to identify the top resource concerns in Phillips County as to how NRCS Program funds will be distributed locally. Everyone is welcome to the meeting. MT Veteran Affairs

7-13. On Thursday, July 13, Judy or Steve, service officers for Montana Veteran Affairs, will be at Malta City Hall from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. If you would like to apply for benefits with the VA please come at the appointed time and bring a copy of your discharge/separation (DD214) papers with you. Dirt Daubers Flower Show

7-15. Come to the Dirt Daubers Flower Show on Saturday, July 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the HG Robinson House. Enjoy the flower arrangements and stroll through the yard at this free event.

Annual Crop Tour

7-17 through 7-20. The annual Phillips County Crop Tour will be starting Monday, July 17 and running through July 19. See more info in the story on page B2.

Malta Lutheran Church Bible School

7-17-thru-20. Starting on Monday, July 17 and running through July 20, Malta Lutheran Church will be hosting Bible School from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. for grades incoming kindergarten to sixth, free of charge. Campers will need to bring a sack lunch and there are 40, first come, first serve slots with limited kindergarten slots. North Country

Basketball Camp

7-24 thru 27. The North County Basketball Camp will be held at Whitewater School starting Monday, July 24 and running thru Thursday, July 27. The camp is open to 4th through 12th grade boys and girls. For more information call 674-5454.

Fort Peck Theatre Free Show at Museum

7-27. The Fort Peck Summer Theatre will be performing at the Phillips County Museum on Thursday, July 27 starting at 2 p.m. The show is free and look for a preview story for the show in the PCN in the coming weeks.
