The Malta M-ettes hosted their annual Little M-ette Basketball Camp last week from Monday, June 19 through Wednesday, June 21 at the Malta High School Gymnasium.
The camp hosted forty-eight campers that ranged from third grade to eighth grade.
The camp featured three-on-three competitions as well as various dribbling and shooting drills.
Current and newly graduated M-ettes were present during the week to help Malta M-ette Head Coach Nate Hammond and assistant coach Shane Anderson. Those M-ettes included Sophia Stiles, who is the reigning two time Montana Gatorade Player of the Year as well as fellow standout Jada Nicholson, who was a state performer for Malta during the past few season. Taylor Eggebrecht, a current M-ette state performer was also present.
The camp featured several daily competitions and the winners were: The hot shot champs: 3rd-4th Hailey Welch, 5th-6th Paige Wasson, 7th-8th Addy Anderson. Free throw champs: 3rd-4th Taylyn Wilke, 5th-6th Paige Wasson, 7th-8th Maddie Williamson. 1on1 champs: 3rd-4th Denver Tuss, 5th-6th Giona Lamb, 7th-8th Maddie Williamson.
