Ribbon cutting at Active Solutions

The Chamber of Commerce welcomed Active Solutions Physical Therapy to the Malta business community with a ribbon cutting during their open house on Saturday, June 17. Owner and Physical Therapist, Carmen Norville showcased her equipment and explained her care options.

Active Solutions is a full service outpatient physical therapy clinic. They treat all joint related pain including neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle/foot pain and injuries. They can also treat muscle related injuries, after surgery care, neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease or following a stroke or traumatic brain injury, as well as general weakness and balance concerns. Being located within the Hi-Line Retirement Center provides for a unique opportunity, the ability to easily patients at the Hi-Line Retirement Center, as well as private patient care in the clinic.

Norville grew up in Loring, MT, graduating from Whitewater High School in 2001. She continued her undergraduate education at the University of Montana, and obtained her D.P.T from Eastern Washington University in 2008. She's happily back in Phillips County, and able to bring with her a skill set that adds significant value to the area.

To Norville, family is a significant influence and part of her success, "I would like to give a big thank you to all of my family for supporting and believing in me. It is because of them that I still believe that a person can do almost anything if they set their mind on it, have faith, and are willing to work hard." She and her husband Matt, married in 2008, have two kids Ellie and Aubrie, with baby girl number three arriving in August. Her proud parents are Pete and Carol Lumsden and grandparents John and Ruth Flansaas. She further said of her family a, "special thanks to my granny and grandpa for being confident enough in my abilities to provide the financial backing for me to be able to purchase the equipment I needed in order to open my own clinic.
