All 2017 Personal Property taxes in Phillips County have been mailed.

The 2017 Personal Property taxes are due in one payment by 5:00 p.m. on or before Friday, June 30, 2017. If the taxes are not paid by this date, the amount payable is delinquent and draws interest at the rate of 5/6 of 1% a month until paid and 2% must be added to the delinquent taxes as a penalty (MCA 15-16-119).

The first half of 2017 Mobile Home taxes are due by 5:00 p.m. on or before Friday, June 30, 2017 and the second half taxes are due by 5:00 p.m. on or before November 30, 2017. If the first and second halves are not paid, the amount payable is delinquent and draws interest at the rate of 5/6 of 1% a month after the delinquency until paid and 2% must be added to the delinquent taxes as a penalty (MCA 15-16-102).

PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Malta will conduct a public hearing June 13, 2017 at 5:20 p.m. in the council chambers of city hall. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments concerning Resolution 1232, A Resolution replacing resolution #1012 setting fees for the use of city equipment labor and supplies used for service work on private property. Project Continuation Announcement

Construction and renovation of the Old Highway 2 Project will be restarting the week of 06/05/2017. The project limits are from the tie in at Highway 2 out to the Bowdoin Wildlife Refuge. Project updates will be posted as construction proceeds throughout the summer of 2017.

The Rehabilitation of Old Highway 2 will commence on 06/05/2017 and run through 06/16/2017. This work will require Old Highway 2 to be closed to through traffic during construction. SECOND PUBLIC HEARING

Phillips County will hold a public hearing on June 8, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at

Malta Opportunities, Inc., 506 S. 6th St. W. for the purpose of obtaining public comments regarding a proposed application to the Montana Department of Commerce’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for renovations to the Malta Opportunities building. At the public hearing,

the proposed project will be explained, including the purpose and proposed

area of the project, activities, budget, and possible sources of funding.

All interested persons will be given the opportunity to ask questions and express their opinions regarding this proposed project. Comments may be given orally

at the hearing or submitted in writing. Written comments can be submitted before 5:00 p.m. on June 8, 2017 to the Phillips County Commissioners at PO Box 360, Malta, MT 59538. A copy of the application to be submitted for funding the

OF THE DISTRICT

The Trustees of School District No. 12 A & B have determined that the following real and personal property of the district, located at 321 Hwy 243, Saco, Montana, is obsolete, unsuitable or not needed any longer for school purposes of School District No. 12 A & B.

The subject property is obsolete, unsuitable or not needed any longer for school purposes.

As provided in § 20-6-604, MCA, the Trustees of School District No. 12 A & B hereby resolve to sell or dispose of the property identified above.

The Trustees of School District No 12 A & B further resolve that notices of the resolution shall be published on May 24, 2017 and May 31, 2017, in the

Phillips County News newspaper.

This resolution shall become effective 14 days after publication of the second notice identified in the immediately preceding paragraph, unless appealed to the district court by a taxpayer in compliance with and as provided in § 20-6-604, MCA.
