On Thursday, May 18, Shirley Jones took first place with 6,210 and Clair Waters' 5,250 placed him in second. The traveling prize was awarded to Roger Ereaux.
Malta Duplicate Bridge
On Wednesday, May 10, Margo Rush and Keith Stine captured first place. Second went to Madelyn Anderson and Bob Maxie.
Monday winners were Keith Stine and Nellie Ereaux. Malcolm Clouse and Byron Ereaux came in second.
Hi-Line Whist
On Tuesday, May 16, the team of Byron and Pearl defeated the team of Clara and Curt in two straight, 14-5 and 13-1, to sweep the day's action.
"Our cards where high, but wait until next time," Pearl said.
On Friday, May 19, Curt and Pearl won the first game, 14-4, before Clara and Agnes evened the tally with a 14-9 victory.
"We had it, and then down we went," said Pearl.
