One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for May 17, 2017

The school concert was great, with all grades participating. A special salute to the students who won awards at the State Music Festival! The music director is Marion Sanguins; and an “ honor and salute” to her. A pie social followed the concert.

Saco School’s music concert is May 22. Challise (my granddaughter) is in choir and band.

The pastor at Whitewater Lutheran Church was Rick Mikkelson on Sunday, very good sermon.

Congratulations to all participants in track and golf; especially winners.

A big salute to Alacia Miller and Alaina Cole (sisters) who went to Europe to work in medical fields! (One is a nurse and one a pharmacist.) Their parents are Julie and Jeff Cole, now of Glasgow, Mont. (Julie graduated from Whitewater High School.)

There was a luncheon at the GN in Malta for the benefit of the Phillips County Historical Society and the H. G. Robinson House and Garden. Several from Whitewater attended and some modeled the fashions.

There was a “Cinco De Mayo” dinner at North 40 featuring Mexican food and decorations.

Whitewater had a terrible thunder and lightning storm! The Whitewater Valley just shook! (Maybe God is angry, when we get thunder storms.) Anyway, we got lots of rain and it is green and beautiful here.

Have a good week,

Helen
