On Tuesday, May 2, Leonard Leader edged out Ken Ruzicka, 49-48, to take top honors on the day. Leonard capped the day by also receiving the traveling prize.

Pinochle

On Thursday, May 4, Sharon Emond notched a victory with a score of 8,390 while Clair Water’s 6,770 earned him a second place finish. The traveling prize was awarded to both Shirley Jones and Leonard Leader and 1,000 Aces was achieved by both Ken Ruzicka and Sharon.

Hi-Line Whist

On Monday, May 2, Curt and Pearl beat Clara and Gloria in the first two games, 14-3 and 15-8.

In bonus action, Pearl and Clara teamed up to defeat Don and Gloria, 13-10.

"We were high and couldn't get low," Pearl reported.

On Friday, May 5, the team of Byron and Pearl dominated Clara and Agnes in three straight, 13-9, 13-6 and 15-8.

"He is a really great player," Pearl said of Byron.

In bonus action on Friday, Agnes and Clara got into the win column with a 16-4 victory of Curt and Pearl.

"They came back strong and were happy," Pearl said.

Pearl also asked for prayers for Curt's wife.

"We pray she will be better soon," Pearl said.
