One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for mAY 3, 2017

Hello and get well wishes to Teresa (formerly Moore) who is my daughter, now living in Swift Current, Canada.

There were two new arrivals in April; one is a baby girl, Ms. Perdue! Her mom is a teacher in Whitewater. Number two is baby boy “Lincoln Curtis” who was born to the Reichelts in Denver, Colo. Also, Janice and Curt Reichelt of Whitewater and Malta are the proud grandparents of Baby Lincoln. Congratulations to the baby’s families.

“Farewell and Good Luck” to Nancy LaBrie who was the cook at the North 40. Also, goodbye and best wishes to Ms. Bond, one of the girls who is in the “Flint Fox” project. It is sponsored by Clemson University and they have been living in Whitewater, which has been their station.

There was a farewell dinner for her and a combined birthday dinner for Bonnie McMullan at North 40. Jeanie Green and I also shared dinner for our April birthdays.

Mr. Swingen and Mr. Engebretson (both Malta music teachers) were the musical entertainment at the Whitewater Lutheran Church on Sunday. Also, congratulations to them and their students in the music festival and also to Marion Sanguin playing for the church and for teaching good music in Whitewater School. Good job!

Jeanie Green and Dixie Stordahl of Loring went on a trip to various destinations.

We had heavy rain. Now the wind is drying up the water. The birds have returned, including a few robins and my favorite, the meadowlarks.

Have a great week.

Helen
