April 13, 2017

10:15 p.m. Deputy performed a security check on a business with a door left open; all found to be okay; Deputy shut the door and locked it.

11:47 p.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew handled the call.

April 14, 2017

6:14 a.m. Male, who had previously reported missing livestock, advised he had more information; Deputy added information to existing file.

11:30 a.m. Male requested assistance with a possibly disabled vehicle and a motorhome parked on a residential street for an extended amount of time; Deputy handled the call.

4:45 p.m. Deputy incarcerated one adult male, Troy Salveson, into PCSO Jail to serve time on sentencing.

6:08 p.m. Zortman Fire Dept reported a fire near the Whitcomb Cabin in the Little Rockies; Zortman FD and BLM Fire Crew responded to the call; fire controlled and BLM monitored the fire for the night.

8:34 p.m. Male reported vandalism to his property west of Saco; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

April 15, 2017

9:42 a.m. Female reported an email scam.

12:39 p.m. Male requested a welfare check on a local female; Deputy responded to the call; female not located anywhere in town; female later contacted PCSO and advised she was out of town, all was ok.

6:08 p.m. Deputy removed a straw bale from Hwy 191 south.

8:52 p.m. Female reported a male “calling them out” to fight behind a local tavern; Deputies responded to the call; all found to be okay, male was not doing anything.

April 16, 2017

7:41 a.m. Deputy transported one adult male, Austin Adams, from Missoula County Detention Center to PCSO to be incarcerated on Custodial Interference and Endangering the Welfare of a Child charges.

11:04 a.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for the caller who was having a panic attack; local EMT Crew responded to the residence; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

4:56 p.m. Undersheriff released one adult male, Troy Salveson, from PCSO Jail on time served.

8:51 p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for a male having a possible panic attack; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

April 17, 2017

7:35 a.m. Female requested a welfare check on a family member; Undersheriff responded to the call; family member located and was okay.

12:35 p.m. Deputy transported one adult male, Austin Adams, from PCSO Jail to Valley Co Detention Center to serve time.

1:16 p.m. PC Hospital requested law enforcement assistance with a female who was threatening the hospital staff; Sheriff and Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started; female left the location without further incident.

6:54 p.m. 911 received reporting a “drug transaction just went down” near a local residence; Deputies responded to the call; no individuals or vehicles located in the reported area.

8:17 p.m. Deputy returned some mail found in the middle of a residential street to the owner.

April 18, 2017

11:17 a.m. Trans Canada Pipeline employee reported they would be flying in Phillips Co doing a survey in the next week; information passed onto Deputies.

12:10 p.m. Male reported overdue motorists traveling through Phillips Co; caller advised no accidents reported here and given MHP phone number.

12:50 p.m. Female reported a possible scam.

12:52 p.m. Male reported a vehicle parked halfway into the alley near his residence and was blocking the alleyway; owner located and advised to move the vehicle.

1:10 p.m. Male reported a forgery on his checking account; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

4:08 p.m. Male reported being harassed by a female in the downtown area; Sheriff and Undersheriff handled the call.

4:31 p.m. Female filed a complaint regarding a vehicle speeding by an apartment complex several times a day; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle not located in the area.

4:57 p.m. County Road Crew employee reported a one vehicle/boat/trailer rollover on Stage Road, south of Dodson; occupants were not in the area; Deputies, local MHP Trooper, and trainee responded to the call; Ft Belknap LE also responded; 2 occupants located and transported, by Ft Belknap LE, to IHS for medical evaluation; case file started.

6:08 p.m. Female filed a written complaint regarding possible animal abuse by a neighbor; Deputy responded to the call; information passed onto ACO.

6:57 p.m. Deputy reported a vehicle parked off of Hwy 191 south and no one was around; occupants later located and had been walking in a field off the Hwy.

7:18 p.m. Local MHP Trooper and trainee responded to a vehicle/spray boom accident on Hwy 191 south; Deputy also responded and served as traffic control; MHP handled the crash.

7:56 p.m. Valley Co SO reported a male walking on Hwy 2, trying to get to Billings; male was reported to be “spinning” on the Hwy; information passed onto Deputies.

8:13 p.m. Female reported receiving threats from a male with a gun in the Saco area; Deputy handled the call.

9:04 p.m. 911 received reporting an injured deer on Hwy 191 north of Malta; caller did not hit the deer, someone else had; Deputy responded to the call; deer located and humanely euthanized.

9:30 p.m. Female reported a water break in the downtown area; information passed onto City employee.

April 19, 2017

12:18 a.m. PC Hospital reported they were out of water; information passed onto City employee.

6:41 a.m. Female reported the transient was sleeping in the lobby of the Malta Post Office; Deputy responded to the call; transient issued a citation and advised she cannot sleep there and advised to move on.

9:16 a.m. Deputy advised he stopped a vehicle that had its back doors open while driving.

9:21 a.m. Male reported missing livestock and damage to property; Deputy and Livestock Inspector handled the call; information added to existing case file.

11:07 a.m. Local Ministerial Association issued a fuel voucher for two females.

12:00 p.m. Male requested PCSO assistance with an assault that occurred in Chandler AZ and they were requesting our assistance; Deputy handled the call.

12:52 p.m. Male filed a written complaint about a female harassing him; Deputy handled the call.

4:22 p.m. Deputy received a complaint about a vehicle’s driving; vehicle located and driver advised.

4:38 p.m. Deputy served a local warrant on one adult male, Joe McDaniels, and transported him to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on that charge.

4:43 p.m. 911 received reporting juveniles on bicycles “antagonizing” the caller; Undersheriff responded to the call; juveniles located and advised to leave the area.

5:21 p.m. Male reported he received a phone scam regarding a “storage pod.”

PCSO reminds people if a call sounds suspicious it most likely is. If the caller asks for your name and information, DO NOT GIVE any information to them. Ask for a call back number or just hang up.

5:35 p.m. Deputy released one adult male, Joe McDaniels, from PCSO Jail on bond; male given a Notice to Appear in Justice Court.

April 20, 2017

9:13 a.m. Local business requested PCSO assistance with a suspicious situation involving a patron; Deputy handled the call.

10:25 a.m. Local Ambulance reported to Malta High School for a presentation.

10:30 a.m. Male requested assistance with license plates that were not removed from a vehicle when it was sold; Sheriff handled the call.

10:46 a.m. Local Fire Dept reported to Malta High School for an extrication presentation.

1:19 p.m. Reserve Deputy reported a possible fire near 4 Corners in Wagner; advised it was a reported and controlled burn.

1:26 p.m. Female reported a phone scam about a Federal Warrant.

2:30 p.m. Valley Co Detention Center released one adult male, Joshua Flickinger, from their Detention Center on time served.

2:42 p.m. Female reported a male burning branches in his yard off of Central Ave; Deputy responded to the call; the individual was burning in a fire pit.

2:58 p.m. Male reported a lost cell phone.

3:52 p.m. Female reported a missing dog.

5:39 p.m. Male reported no water pressure at his residence on 2nd St E; information passed onto City employee.

6:32 p.m. Billings PD served a local warrant on one adult male, Michael Torrez; male later incarcerated on that charge.

6:47 p.m. Female reported no water pressure at her residence on 9th St W; information passed onto City employee.

6:56 p.m. Male reported a water main break by the old Ford garage building; information passed onto City employee.

7:12 p.m. Male requested a welfare check on an irate female at the caller’s rental house; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay, female was mad that there was no water.

7:13 p.m. Female reported she has no water at her residence on 1st Ave e; caller advised several water main breaks all over town at this point in time.

7:59 p.m. Male requested assistance with the water pump behind Farmers & Ranchers; caller advised of several water breaks all over Malta and this pump might not get fixed right away.

8:30 p.m. Emergency siren rang due to a No Water Usage alert being sent out by the Malta City Mayor.

Several calls received regarding the Emergency Notification System recorded message individuals have been receiving throughout Malta.

9:54 p.m. Deputy reported all downtown bars were shut down for the night due to no water.

10:38 p.m. Female requested assistance for a situation at a local motel; Deputy handled the call.

April 21, 2017

7:07 a.m. Customs & Border Protection Officer requested PCSO assistance at the Port of Morgan; Sheriff handled the call.

11:12 a.m. Havre PD requested PCSO assistance with a missing juvenile who may be en route to a family member’s residence in Malta; Deputy responded to the call; juvenile not located in Malta; Havre PD later reported a juvenile had been located.

2:03 p.m. Kenco Security reported a commercial burglar alarm sounding at a local business; Deputy responded to the location; all found to be okay, accidentally had been set off.

4:16 p.m. Male reported another male walking on Hwy 191 south of Malta; caller advised had been checked out and was okay, just trying to get to Billings.

3:53 p.m. Deputy incarcerated one adult male, Troy Salveson, into PCSO Jail to serve time on sentencing.

3:59 p.m. Local MHP Trooper and trainee transported one adult female, Tara Sunford, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Possession of Dangerous Drugs, No Insurance-1st and No Seat Belt charges.

4:50 p.m. Deputy released one adult female, Tara Sunford, from PCSO Jail on bond.

5:54 p.m. 911 and several calls received reporting an elderly looking female walking southbound on Hwy 191, just out of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; female refused assistance from Deputy.

8:56 p.m. Female reported a male on Hwy 191 near the DY Junction; caller advised male had been checked out already & was just trying to get to Billings.
