Florence was born April 20, 1920 in Sun Prairie, Mont., to Henry and Mary Marie (Kliewer) Baeth. At the young age of 12, she lost her mother, requiring her to become a responsible adult overnight. Florence and her older sister Helen took turns, one day going to school, the next day tending to their younger siblings. Along with those responsibilities, they worked the fields with their father, tended the sheep, and managed the household.
Once her siblings were older, Florence continued on with her education, receiving her nursing degree and working at the Malta Hospital. On January 11, 1947, Florence married Isaac Manson Frye at the Little White Church in Malta. In the spring of that year they moved to their ranch on Beaver Creek South of Malta where their son, Bob, was born. During these years, Florence, Manson, Bob, Theresa, and their kids were blessed to establish a four generation ranch. She was known for being a wonderful cook. Her door was always open, and everyone's plate was full. Florence made many quilts for her family. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and many other crafts. She was a true homemaker, raising a big garden and canning all her vegetables. She took great pride in her flowers and truly was gifted with a green thumb. In 2002, Manson and Florence retired and moved to Malta.
Florence is survived by her son Bob (Theresa) Frye, granddaughter, Miranda (Matt) Hencz, great-granddaughters, Gracee and Hallee of Havre, grandson Wesley (Amy) Frye, great-grandchildren Riley and Aubrey of Whitman, Neb .; brother Roy Baeth. She was preceded in death by her father Henry Baeth, mother Marie Kliewer, husband Isaac Manson Frye, brothers Walter, Calvin, Irvin and infant Alan Baeth, sisters Helen Wiederrick and Pauline Larum and infant daughter, Janet Faye Frye.
