Oh boy! I saw some crocuses this week, heard the red wing black bird, and have quite a patch of strawberries coming up in the garden. We only had one plant last year, which put out many runners, now providing us with many plants! Ah, nature at its finest!
I took a team of high schoolers to Glasgow to compete in the Academic Olympics on Wednesday! We stopped on the way home for an ice cream! The kids did pretty good, bring home four ribbons and Trace also got a first place medallion in History!
I was able to stop in to visit Earl and Marie Wasson on Friday. They are both doing well.
Loring community sends out sympathy to the Wiese family on the death of Grace who lived in the Sunnyslope region for many years.
Loring Lutheran Church service will be at 9 a.m. on April 9, Palm Sunday, with Orvin Solberg delivering the message. On Easter Sunday, brunch will start at 8:30 a.m. and church will start at 9:30 a.m. with an Easter egg hunt following.
Several of the kids around here have been playing in spring basketball tournaments around the northern part of the state. They have been doing pretty well!
Take time this week to view the heavenly bodies. Venus in the early morning, crescent moon in the evening with Mars close by. Jupiter is high in the sky and will be up all night, shining brightly. Saturn will be in the east before dawn. Enjoy!
