ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Separate sealed Bids will be received by the, City of Malta, Montana for the construction of a 1.84 acre waste cell at the City’s landfill. The project shall include excavation of soil, placement of a 2 ft. clay liner, installation of a 60 mil HDPE liner and leachate collection system and placement of 18” of protective soil over the liner system. All bids must be submitted to the City Hall in Malta, Montana no later than 4:00 p.m. local time on April 11, 2017 at which time all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Contract Documents may be examined at the Malta City office. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Barry Damschen Consulting, 5531 York Road, Helena, MT 59602 (406-461-5003) upon receipt of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each set. No refunds for returned documents will be made.

There will be a Pre-Bid conference held on April 3, 2017. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. All participants are to meet at City Hall at 1:00 p.m.

Bids shall be accompanied by a bid security meeting the requirements of the State of Montana in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid. Within ten days after the Notice of Award, the successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract. The bonds will each be equal to 100 percent of the contract amount.

Contractor's and any of the Contractor's subcontractors doing work on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available form the Department of Labor and Industry, P.O. Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling 406-444-7734. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTORS or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of the State of Montana. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

No Bidder may withdraw their bid for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids, except as noted in the Instruction to Bidders.

The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and waive any informalities.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Malta School District 14A is requesting bids to provide service and retrofit upgrades on the temperature controls for the Malta High School.

The building has a combination of electric, electronic, and pneumatic controls that are approximately 20 years old. The controls equipment is nearing the end of its expected service life, and requires updating to maintain reliability and system efficiency.

The bids shall consist of controls service, progressive retrofits to upgrade the control systems to modern standards, and maintenance staff training to operate the mechanical and controls systems.

Sealed bids will be accepted at the administration office located in the Malta High School until April 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.

A 10% bid bond will be required with your bid. The Malta School District has the right to accept or refuse all bids.

Notice is hereby given by the undersigned Clerks of Dodson, Malta, Saco and Whitewater School Districts No. 2A-C, 14A, 12A + 12B, and 20D Phillips County, State of Montana that regular registration for the Annual School Election to be held on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017, will close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3rd, 2017.

NOTE: If you miss this regular registration deadline, you may still register for the election by showing up at the county election office up to and including on Election Day. Between noon and the close of business on the day before Election Day, you can complete and submit a voter registration card, but you will need to return to the local election office on Election Day to pick up and vote a ballot. All active and inactive electors of Dodson, Malta, Saco and Whitewater School Districts No. 2A-C, 14A, 12A + 12B, and 20D are entitled to vote at said election.

Districts No. 2A-C, 14A, 12A + 12B, and 20D will conduct a Polling Place Election:

Inactive electors may reactivate by appearing at the polling place in order to vote, by requesting an absentee ballot in any election, or by notifying the county election administrator in writing of the elector’s current address in the county.

Persons who wish to register and who are not presently registered may do so by requesting a form for registration by mail or by appearing at the county election office. If you have moved, please update your registration information by filling out a new voter registration card and submitting it to the county election office. Late registration is only available through the county election office, and not the school district.
