One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for February 15, 2017

Get well wishes and our prayers to Baby Peyton KillEagle of Dodson.

The Mavericks played Dodson two Saturdays ago and the proceeds from the 50-50 drawing, the cake raffle sale and the supper all went to the baby’s fund. Whitewater and the crowd were generous. If you wish to donate, send donations to Wes KillEagle in Dodson, Mont. Note: Iris KillEagle, Malta’s Postmaster, is Peyton’s grandmother.

Challis Young (my granddaughter) helped me. She also played in band and sang the National Anthem with the choir at the basketball game. Beautiful.

Happy birthday to Ree Simonson and all February birthdays. There was a birthday party for Ree on Sunday at the North 40. Some guests from Malta included Diane Leibel and Judy Rustad. A great lunch was served which included a beautiful cake.

Patty Young along with some of her grandchildren and Bonnie Mullen went to Disneyland. I hope they are having fun and are safe.

There are no two groundhogs who predict weather. One, named Phil, said one thing and the other groundhog said the opposite. Here in Whitewater, we just got three inches of snow! I think we will have more winter regardless of what the groundhogs think.

My Note: Housekeeping skills.

I thought he said “louse keeping skills” and I said “I don’t want any.”

(I mean, who wants lice? So don’t blame me if I am poor housekeeper.)
