CRP State Acres for Wildlife Enhancement (SAFE)

Montana State FSA Committee received additional SAFE acres for Montana Pheasants Winter Cover Enhancement and Montana Sagebrush Restoration.

Producer began submitting offers under these SAFE projects January 9, 2017, with an effective contract date of October 1, 2017. The additional acres are as follows:

Montana Sagebrush Grassland Restoration – 1,500 Acres. Counties in this project area include: Beaverhead, Big Horn, Carbon, Carter, Fallon, Fergus, Garfield, Golden Valley, Madison, Musselshell, Petroleum, Powder River, Rosebud and Treasure.

Montana Pheasants Winter Cover Enhancement: 14,000 Acres. Counties in this project area include: Daniels, Dawson, McCone, Richland, Roosevelt, Sheridan and Valley.

The acres for the SAFE Prairie Pothole Upland Game Bird Habitat Enhancement have been exhausted.
