One Nation, Under God
About 20 years ago, I read Michener's Centennial and I felt so bad for the early pioneers who had to put up with so little. The wind this weekend is driving me insane! I hope it stops soon.
Sunday afternoon several people got together and cleaned everything out of the church and set up a temporary meeting place in the Loring Hall. I am confident that the soil conditions will be conducive to transporting the church building to the basement sometime this spring! You should have seen the piano being moved. Three Goliaths and his wives plus a skid steer and no one got mad! Amazing!
Trace Simonson had a busy weekend! Friday and Saturday he had ball games in Frazer and Nashua, then on Sunday he was on his way to Helena to meet with the TSA state group and the governor.
Carol Lumsden and Ellie Norville took in part of the wrestling match in Malta this Saturday. Congratulations to the whole team on first place! But especially a shout out to Luke and Trey, the two Penguin/Stangs!
The temperature this week was up to 50 on Sunday! A lot of the snow has melted and refrozen. I'm not sure about the coldest temp this week, but almost all week was above zero! I saw a bald eagle and a golden eagle, an owl, and a hawk plus the pheasants, sharp tails and sparrows that are always around.
I see one neighbor has several calves on the ground, another has two sows pigged out! Spring will be here before you know it! And Jeanie's sheep are shorn!
Now if the wind would just stop blowing for a day or so! See you in the funnies!
