Phillips County Sheriff's Report for January 18, 2017

Please remember to file a new burn permit for the 2017 year. If you plan on doing any burning in 2017, please file one BEFORE you start to burn. These permits are good for all of 2017 and you only have to file one a year, not every time you burn. All 2016 permits will no longer be valid after December 31, 2016. Thank you!

Please be advised the Phillips Co Sheriff’s Office is no longer doing GVW Term or Trip permits. These are the yearly and 3-day permits for the over-width/height/weight that most semi trucks and trailers need. You can access these permits by going to http://www.mdt.mt.gov, then go to Doing Business-Commercial Motor Carriers-Permitting. Or you can call 406-444-7262, with questions.

December 28, 2016

2:47 p.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pickup from the airport, transport to the PC Hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew responded to the call.

6:14 p.m. Female reported a kitten outside of her residence and was concerned it would “freeze to death”; ACO handled the call.

December 29, 2016

8:29 a.m. Female reported a possible scam.

8:40 a.m. Undersheriff incarcerated one adult female, Serena Stine, in PCSO Jail to serve time on sentencing.

5:13 p.m. Male reported a vehicle/deer accident near the Overpass; deer was off the Hwy and vehicle has some damage; Deputy responded to the call; white form issued.

5:46 p.m. 911s received reporting an elk carcass on Hwy 191 south, on CMR NWR; information passed onto CMR Officer and elk removed from the location.

11:55 p.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area.

December 30, 2016

8:10 a.m. Deputy released one adult female, Serena Stine, from PCSO Jail on time served.

10:05 a.m. Local business reported a possibly abandoned vehicle in front of their business; Deputy responded to the call; owner located and advised to remove the vehicle.

10:53 a.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with an eviction situation; Deputy handled the call.

11:38 a.m. Male reported a missing dog.

1:28 p.m. Deputy incarcerated one adult female, Serena Stine, in PCSO Jail to serve time on sentencing.

7:13 p.m. Deputy incarcerated one adult male, Troy Salveson, in PCSO Jail to serve time on sentencing.

7:47 p.m. 911 received reporting a dead deer on Hwy 2, east of Malta; Deputy responded to the call and removed the deer.

8:18 p.m. Male reported finding a bullet hole in his vehicle; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

10:07 p.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Saco area.

10:43 p.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area.

December 31, 2016

1:38 a.m. Deputy assisted an individual whose car alarm kept going off.

2:24 a.m. Deputy reported gates to a business were left open; area checked out and all found to be okay; gates locked up.

3:20 a.m. Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 9am Sunday until noon Monday for southwest Phillips Co; 3-6inches of accumulation are possible.

9:49 a.m. Female requested an ambulance for a female who fell and possibly broke her shoulder; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

10:09 a.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pickup from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew handled the call.

11:08 a.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with delivering a death notification to a local family; Deputy handled the call.

1:13 p.m. Deputy released one adult female, Serena Stine, from PCSO Jail on time served.

1:43 p.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pickup from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew handled the call.

2:23 p.m. Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 9am Sunday until noon Monday for Phillips Co; 3-6inches of accumulation are possible.

4:34 p.m. Individuals reported a possible assault and threats received by another family member; Deputy responded to the call; individuals just wanted it documented at this time.

January 1, 2017

2:49 a.m. Ft Belknap LE requested PCSO assistance with an escaped prisoner, possibly enroute to Dodson, to family member’s residence; Deputies responded to the call; male not located by PCSO Deputies in the Dodson area.

3:09 a.m. Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 9am this morning until noon Monday for all of Phillips Co; 3-7inches of snow accumulation is possible.

7:21 a.m. Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until noon Monday.

9:32 a.m. Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon Monday.

12:15 p.m. Male requested a welfare check on juveniles living at a local residence; Undersheriff responded to the call; juveniles found to be okay.

1:19 p.m. Male reported a Hit and Run to his vehicle; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

2:15 p.m. Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon Monday.

4:40 p.m. Male reported a possible break-in to a cabin at Nelson Reservoir; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

7:26 p.m. Deputy released one adult male, Troy Salveson, from PCSO Jail on time served.

11:45 p.m. Male reported the Strater crossing was blocked for an extended amount of time; information passed onto BNSF Police.

January 2, 2017

2:53 a.m. Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon today.

9:08 a.m. Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon.

9:25 a.m. Female reported an abandoned vehicle parked in the downtown area and had not been removed after she had previously reported it last week; Undersheriff responded to the call; owner located and advised to remove the vehicle.

11:30 a.m. Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 6pm for Phillips Co.

4:33 p.m. Female filed a verbal complaint regarding individuals “spinning broadies” at the Wagner dump; Undersheriff and Deputy responded to the call; individuals located and advised to stop.

5:32 p.m. Wind Chill Advisory now in effect until 2pm Tuesday; Winter Weather Advisory is canceled.

6:18 p.m. Deputy incarcerated one adult male, Monte Broadbrooks, into PCSO Jail on Burglary-Felony x2, Theft-Misdemeanor, and Criminal Possession of Dangerous Drugs charges.

10:13 p.m. Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 2pm Tuesday.

10:54 p.m. Male requested a welfare check on juveniles living at a local residence; Deputy responded to the call; juveniles found to be okay.

January 3, 2017

1:31 a.m. 911 received requesting assistance for a female who fell in an apartment at Hi-Line Retirement Center; information passed onto nurses for the caller.

2:32 a.m. Wind Chill Advisory now in effect until noon Thursday.

3:43 a.m. 911 received reporting threats received from an individual at a Dodson residence; caller wanted the male removed; Deputies responded to the call; case file started.

3:56 a.m. Deputy reported a blinking light on a Malta City pump house; information passed onto City employee.

4:27 a.m. Deputy transported one adult male, John Ereaux, to PCSO to be incarcerated on Disorderly Conduct charges.

9:29 a.m. Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until noon Thursday.

12:29 p.m. Female reported a trailer had tipped over and dumped several panels on Hwy 191 north, near the Whitewater turnoff; local MHP Trooper responded to the call and handled the crash.

2:01 p.m. Undersheriff released one adult male, Monte Broadbrooks, from PCSO Jail on bond paid.

2:15 p.m. Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until noon Thursday.

3:22 p.m. Deputy released one adult male, John Ereaux, from PCSO Jail on own recognizance.

3:26 p.m. Individuals reported a fender/bender in a local parking lot; no injuries to the occupants; local MHP Trooper handled the call.

6:30 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a teenager who wouldn’t listen; Deputies handled the call.

9:57 p.m. 911 received requesting a welfare check on a possibly suicidal male at a local residence; Deputies responded to the call; male located at a friend’s residence and they would keep an eye on him.

January 4, 2017

2:50 a.m. Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until noon Thursday.

8:22 a.m. Male reported a vehicle/deer accident on Hwy 191 north of Malta; deer was still alive; Sheriff responded to the call; deer not located in the area.

10:10 a.m. Local business reported finding a key fob near their business; if you are missing a key fob, please call PCSO, 460-654-2350, to identify and claim.

10:14 a.m. Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until noon Thursday.

2:01 p.m. Justice of the Peace received a report of a female being harassed by another female; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

2:19 p.m. Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until noon Thursday.

3:39 p.m. 911 received requesting assistance in Blaine Co; call transferred to Blaine Co SO.

January 5, 2017

2:39 a.m. Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until noon today.

10:08 a.m. Male brought in a found wallet; owner later located and wallet returned.

10:53 a.m. Wind Chill Advisory is canceled.

11:03 a.m. 911 received reporting a tractor on fire on the reservation; call transferred to Ft Belknap LE.

12:15 p.m. Female reported a possible violation of a protection order; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

1:15 p.m. Female reported receiving threats from a male; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

1:31 p.m. 911 received reporting a Hit and Run to the caller’s vehicle; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

9:52 p.m. Female reported a missing dog.

January 6, 2017

1:30 a.m. Blaine Co SO reported receiving a 911 requesting assistance for an individual with a flat tire, north of Zortman, on Hwy 191 and a family member was enroute to assist them.

2:13 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area.

10:14 a.m. Sheriff transported one adult female, Jerilyn Campuzano, from Valley Co Detention Center back to PCSO Jail to be released the following day.

2:54 p.m. Female reported her vehicle slid into a parked trailer; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

3:23 p.m. Female reported she found her dog she had reported missing the night before.

4:48 p.m. Deputy incarcerated one adult male, Troy Salveson, into PCSO Jail to serve time on sentencing.

8:17 p.m. Female reported a missing key.
