PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Malta will conduct a public hearing January 24, 2017 at 5:20 p.m. in the council chambers of city hall. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments concerning Ordinance 448 – Prohibiting non-street legal vehicles and non-street legal recreational vehicles intended for recreational use, including but not limited to four wheelers, snowmobiles, derby/bump & run vehicles, junk vehicles, discarded vehicle parts, any identifiable part of a ruined/wrecked or dismantled vehicle, including but not limited to fenders, doors, hoods, engine blocks, motor parts, transmissions, frames, axles, wheels, tires, and passenger compartment fixtures, from being parked/stored on any portion of a front yard or corner lot side yard within the city limits Malta, Montana and provides the authority
to remove violators.
First reading January 24, 2017. Second reading and adoption February 14, 2017. Persons and/or their agent(s) may appear in person or send written comments to Mayor Shyla Jones, PO Box 1300, Malta, MT 59538 no later than 12 noon

PUBLIC NOTICE FOR OPERATING ASSISTANCE
This is to notify all interested parties that PHILLIPS TRANSIT AUTHORITY is applying for $135,623.00 under the Montana Department of Transportation’s Operating Grant Program 5311. Funding will be used for operating expenses associated with providing transportation services to the general public, elderly and persons with disabilities within Phillips County for the FY 2018.
The application is on file at 311 S. 8th. Ave. E., Malta, MT. If requested, a public hearing will be held and public notice indicating the location, date and time of the hearing will be provided.
