One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for January 4, 2017

Sympathy to the family of Bud Mavencamp.

Get well wishes to Marion Sanguins and all who are sick.

Jeanie Green took Melanie S. and Mya to Disneyland in California recently. Did you see Minnie and Mickey Mouse and Goofy?

Sally Austin and other in the family went to Janice and Curt Reichelt's Christmas Eve. Then Christmas day many of the family went to Joyce and Dennis Donovan's in Kremlin, Mont.

Well, I went to Billings to spend Christmas with my sister, Janet Brown! Glen Brown also visited and we spent Christmas Day at Carol’s (formerly Brown) and her husband Randy Remington. They live in Laurel, Mont., where Randy owns his own business, Remington’s Funeral Home.

Joshua Toenyes (Carol’s son) joined us for Christmas. He is retired from the US Navy. I had a wonderful time over Christmas.

Well, I flew to and from Billings on Cape Aire on the airplane from Glasgow. It was an experience as I had not been on an airplane for years. Most rules associated with flying have become more severe since 9-11. For instance:

1. You have to go through the “check point” to see if you are trying to bring bombs, guns or dope aboard the plane.

2. They took my purse until we reached our destination (the airline has the right to confiscate luggage.)

Anyway, it is a convenience for us in eastern Montana to have an airline close by.

I had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you did too. The Nativity set is still up in the church yard. I can see it lit up at night. Very beautiful.

We had snow for Christmas but it is melting with the Chinook Wind we are having today.

Happy New Year to all!

Helen
