One Nation, Under God

Loring News for November 23, 2016

I wish everyone a great Thanksgiving and pray that we all appreciate what we have! Last week Rodney and I traveled to Billings for a few days. We were lucky enough to get in on a school band concert that Saige was in! On Saturday I went out to the Pryor Mountains with my sister Debbie to her family cabin to check on a few things before winter set in. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the super moon coming up over the mountains. When we got back to Billings, Rod and I drove back north! So thankful for good roads! On Wednesday the Loring Woman's Club met at Brenda Clark's home for our men's night. The hostesses served a delicious meal before our business meeting. The Loring Lutheran Church held a quarterly meeting to keep everyone up to date with our building project. Starting in December, we will hold service at the hall until the building is ready for us again. It is so exciting! The junior high boys and girls from North Country Mavericks earned the championship trophy this weekend! Then the Jamboree girls North Country Mavericks did the same thing on Saturday! Congrats to all! The jamboree boys fell short this time, but they'll be ready for next year! Carmen and Matt and girls were here over the weekend. Also Kyle Briggs, his fiancé, and Mike Briggs from Billings have been hunting with the Lumsdens and Blunts. I'm going to miss Helen Young's news now that she's moving to Australia! But my son suggested now would be a good time to get the Loring Bar up and running again for all the people who need refreshments just before crossing the border into Canada! I try to report the news with accuracy. The last paragraph is frivolous! Forgive me!
