This farmer likes his collections small

It started in 1985 when Jim Sintler, Jr. spied a toy Versatile four-wheel drive tractor on a shelf in an implement dealer's show room. He bought it, took it home and he was hooked.

Now Sintler, who farms east of Malta, looks for toy tractors wherever he goes, to add to his collection: not just any tractor, but limited editions, special editions, series – as close to the "real McCoy" as possible without the size. His collection has swelled to around 50.

"My wife won't let me collect the big ones," he laughed.
