A note from the McKoys about Art's Furniture

Dear Editor,

I read with interest your cover article about the changes at Art’s Furniture (Art Lundstrom to retire after 39 years, October 12, 2016). It doesn’t seem possible that nearly 40 years have passed since my dad sold the business to Art and Mary Lundstrom. For the McKoy family the “Store” including the apartments above supported our big family for over 30 years as well. I am sure my parents would agree that what sustains a family-owned business in a rural community are the wonderful people who buy things over and over throughout the years. Art and Mary also praised their faithful employees. I know my Dad could not have been successful without the help of so many wonderful ladies through-out the years as well. Our best wishes to Art and Mary in their retirement.
