Robert and Cathy Bear and two grandsons and Polly Solberg and Dora Henry were in Malta for the annual Parade of Lights .

Edmund and Gloria Mortenson, Dean and Carol Kienenberger, Polly Solberg and Dora Henry took in the Harlem Lutheran Church Fall Dinner on Sunday.

Wink and Terri Cole left to visit her brother and family in Arizona and then their son Zack and wife in Texas.

The weather has continued to be damp and colder making it hard to catch up on the fall chores still needing to be done. Sunshine has crept in a couple days to allow some chores to be accomplished.

Dora Henry’s sister, Adena, who lives in a suburb of Los Angeles, told her that they were finally getting a small amount of rain –the first except for a few sprinkles in two years. It had rained a shower on Saturday and was raining again Sunday. I told her we would gladly share some of ours with her. They usually get their moisture in rain in October-like we have snow here.

To those who have fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know!
