Malta Duplicate Bridge

At the Club Championship game held Wednesday, October 19, Donna Olson and Bob Ereaux captured first place. Second place was awarded to Madelyn Anderson and Margo Rush.

Monday evening saw Margo Rush and Malcolm Clouse tie with Nellie Ereaux and Bob Maxie for first place.

Whist

On Tuesday, October 25, Byron Ereaux took first after posting a score of 56. Jeanette Heinle ranked second with 45 points and the traveling prize was awarded to Ken Ruzicka.

Pinochle

On Thursday, October 27, Jerry Depute took first place with a score of 5,820 while Sharon Emond’s 5,670 was good for second. Jerry and Lou Olson had 1,500 trump and the traveling prize was awarded to both Nancy Soennichsen and Jeanette Heinle.

Hi-Line Whist

On Saturday, October 25, Curt and Pearl narrowly defeated Agnes and Clara in two out of three games, 0-14, 14-0 and 13-11.

"It really smelled there for a while," Pearl said of the skunkings, "but turned great at the end."

On Friday, October 28, Agnes and Pearl defeated Clara and Gloria in three straight, 14-6, 14-1 and 14-6 to sweep the night.

"The cards were all in our favor," Pearl admitted.
