The Dodson Whitewater Harriers tackled two tough courses this week in Hays and Havre, making a total of three meets in seven days.
On Wednesday, September 28 they ran in beautiful Mission Canyon at Hays, battling a completely uphill course. For the ladies, Bella Lawless ran in 29.25 and Serena Sanguins completed the course in 44.54. For the men, Corbain Lone Bear ran a 22:16, Tyrese Messerly ran a 22:56, Trevor Walker ran a 23:23 and Jasper Doney ran a 29:59.
On Saturday, October 1, the Harriers ran the Havre Course at MSU Northern campus. For the ladies, Lawless ran in 26.36 and Sanguins ran in 42.56. For the men, Lone Bear completed the course in 20.15, Walker completed in 20.55, and Doney completed in 27.57. Messerly was not able to participate due to illness.
The Harriers next action will be at their home meet in Dodson, on Friday, October 7. Coach Bruce Warren is pleased with the progress of the runners. They have been tackling some intense courses this year and are continuing to reach personal goals they have set, both as a team and as individuals.
