Technology Roundup in Malta tomorrow

The Malta Business Center will be buzzing with activity on Thursday, September 22, as the HiLine Technology Roundup offers something for everyone…for free.

From checking out digital books at the Phillips County Library to the dangers of children using the internet and from technology impacting agriculture to technology solutions for cattle ranchers, nearly 20 different presentations will be on display.

“Our area is connected, using technology every day to work our personal lives, do banking, check the weather, enhance education and run businesses,” said Dina Meneely of the Malta Chamber of Commerce. “We want you to come to the Technology Roundup because there really is something for everyone. Check out the booths to see what is new and exciting. Attend a hands on session to learn something new or listen to our great speakers and hear their stories.”

The day gets underway with a Showcase Room and Tradeshow area starting at 9 a.m. and running until 11 a.m.

Registration for the event kick’s off at the conclusion of the trade show when a free lunch will be provided. There will be four different rooms set up at the Malta Business Center – former Ben Franklin and current home of the Art Spot – offering panel discussions on how technology impacts home, ag, ranch, business and education. The discussions run from noon until 7 p.m.

“What a great opportunity for the Phillips County community to take part in such a unique event right here in Malta that not only speaks to technology and how it impacts our day to day life, but also our business district, agriculture and how it impacts our children and their future as well, said Ashley Stuart, PhillCo Executive Director.
