Volunteers needed for Shooting Sports

The Phillips County 4-H Shooting Sports program is looking for volunteers to help with the program that serves over 60 youth ages 9 to 18 years old.

The shooting sports program is organized through the Phillips County Extension Office and the 4-H Program. The program offers air rifle, air pistol and various archery projects. The program teaches youth the safe and responsible use of firearms and archery equipment while having fun.

Leaders would have to become certified and attend a state training workshop before serving as a leader. We do shoot in Malta and Saco. There will be an upcoming training in Lewistown on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1. There will also be a meeting for all those interested on Monday, September 26 at Stretch’s Casino room at 6 p.m.
