One Nation, Under God
Pokémon Go is a game based off of the original Ninetendo Pokémon games and TV show. In the games you play as a Pokémon trainer who travels around catching and training all sorts of different Pokémon and then battling them at gyms to earn badges. In Pokémon Go you walk around town, or wherever you are and find Pokémon. They can be anywhere and everywhere, and they don't stay in just one spot just like real animals don't. There has even been a couple in the PCN office. After catching your Pokémon you go to Pokémon gyms and train them for battle. In this game instead of battling for badges you battle to win the gym for your team, Mystic, Instinct, or Valor. Upon returning to work, I was pleased to find a psi type Pokémon named Abra at my desk. A common misconception about this game is that certain Pokémon stay in certain spots, which is not true at all. Just like real animals, Pokémon wander around and do whatever. In Malta, there is one Pokéstop, the library. This is where you go to buy more Pokéballs to catch the Pokémon in.
I am on Team Mystic and I have only caught around 30 Pokémon here in Malta, but I've seen a lot more. The best place to catch Pokémon I've noticed is in public places in bigger cities. The most I've caught in one place was at a Walmart and I caught around 10 in one trip. I've received quite a few texts over the last few weeks that all say the same thing, "Lets go Pokémon hunting." For me, it is a fun way to spend time with my friends while relishing in my childhood love for Pokémon.
