One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for July 13, 2016

Congratulations to North 40 for Senior Meals every Wednesday.

There was Vacation Bible School in Whitewater with many children. Also, there was a Revival in both Whitewater and Malta with a guest speaker. Both were sponsored by Whitewater Baptist Church. The speaker brought his trailer and parked it in Steven Young’s park.

There was a family reunion of the Obach and Ivanovitch (Sally Austin) families. The Phillips County News had a good article about families in last week’s paper. The reunion was well attended but due to weather they moved the activities to Sleeping Buffalo Resort and many swam. Pat (Ivanovitch) Donich was one of the guests. She is a former Whitewater High School Grad.

Margie gave me a certificate to meals at the North 40. Very nice of Margie. Also, Margie, congratulations on having your rhubarb cake recipe published in Triangle Communications magazine.

Adam and Taylor Hellie had lots of company visiting recently. Also, the Wishers have company helping at VBS and the Revival.

Fourth of July, I went to Malta to watch the fireworks and it was really spectacular. We also had some fireworks on display in Whitewater which were beautiful on both the third and fourth.

Someone brought me a beautiful plant! I will find out who it was.

Lu Bessel gave me her Swiss Chard from her garden. She is a wonderful gardener. She lives on Hilda Brown’s place.

There has been a basketball camp here in Whitewater during the last week. The Siewing twins – Jonathan and Seth – came to play at the camp and then ate at the North 40 with their father, Paul.

To the people who let my cats out when I was in the hospital; most of the cats came back and one came back in time to have her kittens (just what I need.) Anyone want a kitten?

Have a good week.

Helen
