MALTA- Dorothy “Dode” Pray Morrison, 94 of Malta died May 31, 2016 at the Tender Nest Assisted Living Home in Billings, MT. She had lived in Billings for the past seven years.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 11 at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in the Malta Cemetery. Dorothy Fern Morrison was born June 29, 1921 to A.W. “Toots” and Katherine Pray in the Wagner community, near Malta. She had one sibling, William A. Pray. Dorothy graduated from Malta High School and then worked at Kronshnabels Store as a clerk. She married Keith Morrison in 1941 and they farmed in the Loring Community all their lives while also maintaining a home in Malta. The couple had two children, Michael and Pamela. Besides working as a homemaker, she also worked at the Phillips County Extension office, and Adeline’s World, a dress shop.
Dorothy is survived by her son Michael (Mick) Morrison and wife Paula; daughter Pam Doherty and husband David; grandchildren Brad Seward and wife Alexa; Tawnya Coleman and husband Jacob; Brandi Simpson and husband John; and Jason Morrison and wife Cherisha plus seven great grandsons: Wyatt Seward, Chase and Blake Coleman, Luke and Bo Simpson, and Kage and Kyson Morrison.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Keith in 1988, her parents, and brother.
In addition to her immediate family, her sister-in-law Rita Pray, and lifelong friend Ruth Truax where close at heart, along with other friends in the Malta and Loring communities.
Dode’s greatest love was her family and her life on the farm near Loring.
