One Nation, Under God
The Phillips County Shooters Club held their first P.C. Shooters Club Raffle last Saturday at the Lucky Bullet as the group celebrated the completion of the new gun range site's dirt work last week.
"Our dirt work is done," Tony Boos President of the P.C. Shooters Club told the PCN at the event. "We kind of looked things over."
In looking things over the group confirmed where they would set up rifle, pistol, archery and shooting sports areas as well as a possible trap shooting area.
The range is located Just a short drive out past the City Dump to the end of the pavement and left on the gravel road and then right across from the gravel pit on Black Coulee Road.
"The next step is getting the concrete down and then we will start the building, get targets and we'll get our benches in there and some fence. We got a good start."
Boos also expressed thanks to those that have supported the 501C-3 organization.
"The money is coming in," he said. "People are very generous."
Boos was also pleased with the amount of people that showed up to Saturday's event.
"We've had a really good turnout here and the people are buying 50-50 tickets, supporting everything we're doing and they're excited," Boos said.
Kayla Elkins won the event's 50-50 raffle. Darrell Kovach won the event's lifetime membership drawing.
In the event's main raffle, Joann Howard won first prize, which was a $500 store credit at Art's Furniture.
Alexandria White won second prize which was $500 in Dino-Dollars.
Third prize was a DPMS AR Mossy Oak camoflauge; stainless .223 fluted rifle went to Richard Dunbar.
Jason Beil won the fourth prize, which was $500 in gas from Ezzie's Wholesale.
Fifth prize went to the Great Northern. The prize was $500 towards a television from Todd's Technology Store.
