On Friday, May 13, Agnes and Clara defeated Curt and Pearl in three straight games, 14-7, 13-7 and 14-6 for a clean sweep in card action.

“We were working really hard,” Pearl reports of getting skunked, “but they worked harder and really won.”

Malta Duplicate Bridge

Wednesday afternoon – May 4 – Byron Ereaux and Madelyn Anderson captured first place. John Norgon and Malcolm Clouse tied with Margo Rush and Bonnie Millar for second.

Monday winners were Margo and Byron. Second place was awarded to Bonnie and Ken Ruzicka.

Whist

On Tuesday, May 10, Nina Jones took first place with 38, Ken Ruzicka and Nancy Soennichsen tied for second with 33 and the traveling prize was awarded to Lou Olson.

Pinochle

On Thursday, May 12, Shirley Jones finished in first place with 6,316, Roger Ereaux was second with 6,210 and the traveling prize was awarded to both Ereaux and Shirley Jones.
