Loring News for May 11, 2016

Summer hit this week! Our temps were in the high 80's for a couple of days! The grass has greened up, flowers are blooming on the prairies, the birds are singing, and the winds were calm for part of the week!

I feel so badly for the people who are affected by the wild fire at Ft. McMurray in Alberta. Our skies are grey with particulate material!

Tom Stordahl went to Billings for appointments on Tuesday. He visited with David's family Monday night.

Loring Lutheran Church will meet at 9:30 on May 15 and at 11:00 on the 22 for the baptism of Kellan Slade.

Matt Norville and Aubrie spent the week with Pete and Carol Lumsden. Then Carmen and Ellie drove over and got in on the branding festivities Saturday. They all picnicked at Ruth and John Flansaas backyard for Mother's Day.

The Whitewater track and field team has been busy this week! The Whitewater meet was on Thursday. Friday they went to Wolf Point. The junior high competed in Malta on Saturday.

Tatum Moore, a graduating senior, drove two real seniors, Lulu Besel and Dixie Stordahl, to Malta to enjoy the Harlem Ambassadors basketball game against the Hi-Line Has-Beens of Phillips County on Monday.
