One Nation, Under God
Property taxpayers who want to appeal the Department of Revenue’s valuation of their property must do so no later than 30 days after they receive a property assessment notice from the Department. Once a tax bill arrives, it is too late to appeal the valuation of the property. Appeals must be filed with the County Clerk & Recorder where the property is located.
The Phillips County Tax Appeal Board, a three-person board appointed by the County Commissioners, will hear all appeals between July 1 and December 31, 2016. If you receive an assessment notice from the Department of Revenue that you disagree with, you must submit your appeal with the Clerk & Recorder within 30 days of the date on the notice. For further information contact Ruth Mitchell, Secretary at 654-2442.
