Our faithful news-lady, Helen Austin, is in the Havre hospital with a broken hip. Get well soon Helen.

Monte Mavencamp (80) was laid to rest at the Forks Cemetery on a rainy afternoon on April 16. Family and friends gathered at the church in Whitewater with Monte’s family.

There was a wonderful rain Friday. The sun has been shining ever since and the grass is growing greener (EDITOR’s NOTE, because of timing, Pat was unable to add that snow, sleet and rain hit the area starting Sunday afternoon and is still going strong as of Monday morning.)

The flu made its rounds last week, to young and old.

Zeena Fox and her friend Robbie Moony of Havre drove over to Jim Murdock’s Sunday evening to get some fencing supplies. They, along with Zeena’s mom, Zelda Fox, have been at Grandpa Bill Murdock’s helping do chores.

Jim and Pat Murdock were in Malta on April 9 to Esther Martin’s funeral.

Allie Olson is recuperating at his home after a four-wheeler accident a couple of weeks ago while checking heifers.

Former resident, Alice and Chuck McAdams of Billings, were here for Monte’s funeral and stayed in Malta with the Love family.

Brie and Jim Murdock were in Mankota, Sask., Canada recently to the Grasslands Bull Sale in which Colt Kornfeld, son of Brenda and Greg, sold several young bulls.
