Allen Dale Brandon, 66, of Sunburst died at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, surrounded by family members on Thursday, April 14, 2016.
At his request, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place with O'Connor Funeral Home.
Allen was born on August 28, 1949 in Glasgow, MT to Willard and Donna Brandon. He was the eldest of four children. He was raised in Malta and graduated from Malta High School in 1967. Following high school, Allen began his nearly 40 year career in the oilfields of Montana, with the majority of time spent working for Comanche Drilling Company in Oilmont, MT. Allen was also employed during his retirement years by Northern Transit Interlocal as a bus driver. He greatly enjoyed meeting people from all over the world.
Allen's hobbies included fishing, reading, canning, working with guns, and helping Sunburst area farms with seeding and harvests. In the last two years of his life he enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and visiting folks at The Early Bird in Sunburst where Joni always welcomed him with a smile.
Allen is survived by his mother, Donna Brandon; brothers Robert (Kim) Brandon of Coeur d'Alene, ID and Bill (Deb) Brandon of Sunburst; sister Judy (Don) Woods of Great Falls; and three nieces and a nephew–Janel Brandon, Cheri Brandon, Jennifer (Brett) Patrick, and Jeff Brandon.
Allen was preceded in death by his father, Willard Brandon.
Memorials are suggested to go toward the creation of a chemo infusion center through Toole County Health Foundation, P.O. Box 915, Shelby, MT 59474.
