One Nation, Under God

Loring News for the week of April 20, 2016

Oh my, spring is definitely here in north Phillips County, especially after that awesome rain on Friday! Most of the reports are over an inch of moisture! I spotted three bluebirds on Sunday! I also saw a snowy owl the same day! I thought they had left for their mating ground long ago! I was able to pick some yellow bells and some crocuses this week, too!

I spent last Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in Billings with a group of junior high/high school students competing in technology problem solving. It was fun and interesting. The students who participated from this area were Kia Wasson, Beau Simonson and Trace Simonson.Trace is a state officer.

Happy 80th birthday to Iver Johannesen! A huge gathering of friends and family was on hand at the Loring Hall on Saturday afternoon/evening. I think all of his kids were there with most of the grandkids and great grands! A delicious meal and cake was enjoyed by all.

Carol Lumsden got to spend some time with Kellan Slade this weekend!

Congratulations to Colt Kornfeld on being chosen for the special Sask Hockey team. His team was in the championship game. I'm pretty sure they came out on top!

Happy birthday to Aggie Erickson! She celebrated on Saturday at the HLRC with coffee and cake and lots of friends!

The Loring Woman's Club annual card party was held last Sunday.
