AA Meeting

Saturdays. The Outback AA Meeting is held every Saturday at 4 p.m. at 139 9th St. SW in Malta.

Head Start Openings

Malta Head Start has openings for the 2016-17 school year for children who are three-years-old by September 10, 2016 as well as four-year-olds. Enrollment is limited! If you are interested in enrolling your child, please fill out the enclosed application and include copies of all the documentation required. Return it as soon as possible before all openings are filled! Please stop at the Head Start office located at 164 S. 10th St. W. or call 654-2005 with any questions.

Men’s Golf League

4-22. The Marian Hills Men’s Golf League deadline to sign-up is Friday, April 22. Call Bob at 654-2340 or the Tin Cup at 654-1250.

American Legion Garage Sale

4-23. The annual American Legion garage sale is Saturday, April 23rd. Donations can be picked up by calling Vince 301-1412, Ken 399-3944 or Jay 390-2198 or drop off items on Friday before the sale. No clothing please.

Changing of the Guard at PCMS

4-23. Phillips County Motor Sports will have their annual meeting, Saturday, April 23, beginning at noon in the Great Northern Lodge. Hors d’oeuvres will $5 per plate at the event.

A new president will be elected for the first time in the history of PCMS. Four directors will be elected to serve three year terms.

Also on tap are bylaw changes, naming the four PCMS scholarship and listing of the 2015 accomplishments.

You need not be a Phillips County Motor Sports member to attend.

Kaasa Family & Friends Reunion

4-23. On Saturday, April 23, there will be a Kaasa Family & Friends Reunion and Pot-luck at Trafton Park with food served at noon and a special presentation at 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend the party and are asked to bring salads or deserts.

HLRC Aide Course

4-25. Hi-Line Retirement Center is hosting a Hospitality Aide Course starting on Monday, April 25. This will consist of two, three weeks of classroom training to become a CNA. For more info, call 654-1190.

MRGJ Meeting

4-26. The MILK RIVER GOSPEL JAMBOREE will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 26 starting at 7 p.m. at Malta Community Church, with emphasis on planning the main jamboree to be held June 24 through 26. If you would like to bring gospel music to central Montana, mark you calendar and plan to attend the MRGJ meetings. All meetings are open to the public.

P.E.O Spring Salad

4-27. The Malta P.E.O. Chapter AK will be hosting their 12th Annual Spring Salad Luncheon which celebrates Administrative Assistant’s Day on Wednesday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets, which are $7, may be purchased from members or at the door.

Malta Community Blood Drive

Meal and a movie with Lindeen

4-27. On Wednesday, April 27, State of Montana Commissioner of Securities and Insurance Monica J. Lindeen will screen a made-in-Montana documentary about investment fraud at the GN Lodge Room from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The movie is to help protect Montanans against investor fraud. The event will include a complimentary meal for attendees and includes a question and answer session.

Malta Women’s Club

4-28. The Malta Women’s Club is having its Annual Card Marathon at the Senior Center on Thursday, April 28 at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Wool Pull

5-7. The Hi-Line Wool Pool will be collecting wool on May 7, 2016 from 7:00 am to 11:30 am at the Malta City Shop, located south of Malta. Questions about delivery or preparation requirements, please contact Marko Manoukian, Phillips County Extension Agent at 406-654-2543 prior to May 5, 2016. All new producers are welcome.
