Services for John Edward Row, of Tishomingo, were held at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016, at the Row Ranch in Tishomingo, officiated by John Hazell. Arrangements were under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur.
John was born March 30, 1945 in Pawhuska, to Bill and Bernice (Blackstock) Row. He passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Tishomingo, at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 29 days. He passed one day short of his 71st birthday.
He married Doris (Jacobs) Row in Mead, Oklahoma on August 28, 1975.
John had lived in Sulphur and Tishomingo the last 40 years. He was a rancher and the owner of six-time World Champion AQHA roping horse, Apache Blue Boy. He was a member of the Cattleman's Association, AQHA, USTRC, and the United Church of Tishomingo. He still holds the Montana State Record for the 100 yard dash to this day.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, John Jacob Row. He is survived by his wife, Doris Row, Tishomingo; children, Josh and Tina Cain, Jason and Rachael Melot, and Mike and Kellie Row; grandchildren, Alexis Row, Payton Row, Cutter Cain, Cactus Cain; a brother: Jim Row and wife, Judy; a cousin, Cindy Shangreau; and nieces and nephews, Casey Winter, Hallie Winter, Elyse Winter,William Row, Catherine Row and other nieces and nephews.
