2-10. “Hope you are better” to Hinsdale basketball girl, Ms. Miller, who was injured in a recent basketball game.

Congratulations to Whitewater School cooks Carol and the crew on their award for “Best Breakfast Cooks in the State!”

Sympathy to Bruce Hill on the passing of a family member. He went to New Mexico for the funeral and he got to see his brothers and sisters from all over.

Whitewater Baptist Church assisted the Havre Baptist Church in baptizing three Havre members at Sleeping Buffalo Resort and Pool two Sundays ago.

Patty Young watched her grandchildren shoot at the Knights of Columbus Free Throw competition in Malta. She also attended a special 4-H meeting with her grandchildren.

There is a schedule change in the mid-week services at Whitewater Baptist Church: They meet Thursday at 6 p.m. instead of Wednesday at 7 p.m. For more info call 674-5563.

On February 2, Phil the Groundhog did not see his shadow. This is supposed to mean an “early spring.” We hope so!

Happy Valentine's Day to all…send someone a valentine.

Best of luck to all basketball tournament players and coaches and remember: it isn’t whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game.

2-17. Happy 95th Birthday to Ike Hellie. Also, Happy Birthday to Ree Simonson, both live in Whitewater. Ree had a birthday party which was very nice.

Happy Birthday also to my granddaughter, Rhonda, in Canada in February.

Late congratulations to Tanner and Katlyn Anderson on baptism of their son in Malta. He joins a big brother at home.

Whitewater Lutheran Church youth are hosting Lenten soup supper an church service. It is scheduled for Wednesday, February 17 at 6 p.m. All are welcome.

Lynn Hill gave me a ride from Malta. She helps Michelle Math at school part-time.

I had a great “surprise” phone call from friend Barbara Hansonal (former P.C. resident) She was and is a beautiful singer. I played piano for her and we made a record which I now have on a DVD. It is lovely Country Gospel.

Eddie Anderson’s mom and others of the family visited family in Whitewater here recently.

Some attended the Mid-winter Fair in Fort Belknap. Reports are all good.

Outside of Whitewater, we often hear a noise which sounds like “put, put bang!” It is the gas compressor here in the Whitewater area. The gas company out here employs many and they all do a good job.

A Chinook Wind took the remaining snow and the ground is bare. It is just like spring!
