One Nation, Under God
Elementary students from Whitewater School recently recognized their 100th Day of School with a celebration.
Everyone costumed up as 100- year-old people. Out of five jars of candy, students were to pick which jar held exactly one hundred pieces. Three students were correct and received prizes.
In the afternoon, students hunted for 100 Hershey Kisses in the gym and found all but two; who knows if a hungry student gobbled those!
They also completed ten stations of ten exercises each along with one hundred seconds of dancing and then running. After all the physical activity, students sat down, closed their eyes, and stood up when they thought one hundred seconds had passed. Some must think 100 seconds is a LONG time because they didn't stand until after nearly three minutes.
Later, students teamed up to build towers out of stick pretzels and marshmallows which after measurements were taken, they readily consumed. All in all, it was a most enjoyable 100th day of school.
