Lady Coyotes defeat Nashua, lose to Malta JV

The Dodson Lady Coyotes picked up their third win last Friday night after defeat the Nashua Porcupines 43-36 in Nashua. They also lost to Malta's C squad on Tuesday night in Malta.

In the team's win against Nashua, Dodson was led by Shontelle Talks Different who scored 13 points. Kailee Henry had 12 points. Christina Jaynes eight points. Donna Dale had five points. Talyssa Horn had three points and Shawnee KillEagle had two points.

Dodson's defense played impressively, not allowing more than nine points in each of the first three quarters. The quarter by quarter totals were. 11-6, 19-15, 35-21 and 43-36.

The Lady Coyotes lost to Malta's C squad 49-32 last Tuesday in Dodson.

The team was led by Jaynes and Henry, who both scored 13 points. Talks Different scored four points. Dale scored two points.

Malta was led by Janessa Malmend and Taylor Eggebrecht, who scored 11 points apiece. Taylor Gilkerson and Raina Mortenson scored seven points apiece. Charlee Rhodes and Wylee Young each scored five points. Kloie Uphaus had four points and Kyleigh Schipman scored three points.

With the 3C District only two weeks away, the Dodson Lady Coyotes are headed in the right direction. They will face Hay-Lodgepole in Dodson tomorrow night at 4:30 p.m.
