Montana's Fish & Wildlife Commission will meet via video-conference at 9 a.m. Jan. 14. People may listen to the meeting online at the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks website or view a live television feed of the meeting at any FWP regional headquarters or the Helena headquarters.
During the meeting, commissioners plan to take final action on several issues, including:
■ Amendments to rules regarding removal of ice shelters on Lake Helena and Hauser Lake.
■ A rule giving FWP authority to prohibit floating near Supply Ditch on the Bitterroot River.
■ Additions to the Nevada Lake, Fish Creek and North Shore wildlife management areas.
■ Amendments to rules governing the Unlocking Public Lands program.
■ Translocation of Sage Grouse to Alberta.
The commission also plans to hear public comments on:
■ Rules regarding the Keep Cool Hills Recreational Use Agreement.
■ A public-safety closure on Little Prickly Pear Creek and the Missouri River near Great Falls.
■ Rules for taking peregrine falcons.
■ Potential hunting districts with expanded Permit to Hunt From a Vehicle opportunities.
