MMS Calendars

Malta Middle School calendars are out for distribution. Please call the middle school if you have not received your 2016 calendar. 654-2225.

PC Museum Winter Closure

The PC Museum will close on December 30 and remain closed until April 1, 2016. If you have family in town and would like to take them though the Museum call 654-1037 and leave a message.

Monday Bridge Club

The Bridge Club meets every Monday at 6 p.m.

Whist

Whist is held every Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Wednesday Bridge Club

The Bridge Club meets every Wednesday at 1 p.m.

Thursday Pinochle

Pinochle is held every Thursday at 1 p.m.

Friday Bingo

Bingo is played every Friday at 1 p.m.

AA Meeting

Saturdays. The Outback AA Meeting is held every Saturday at 4 p.m. at 139 9th St. SW in Malta.

Kiwanis Tacos

1-9. Hungry for tacos? Malta Kiwanis will be selling tacos at the Saturday basketball game at MHS. Remember, Kiwanis support many local youth programs with the funds they raise. Enjoy a taco on Saturday.

St. Mary Working Group meeting.

1-12. The St. Mary Rehabilitation Working Group will be holding a meeting in Havre on Tuesday January 12, from 10 a.m. until noon. The meeting will be in the Havre City Hall meeting room. The public is more than welcome to attend.

MT Veteran Affairs

1-14. On Thursday, January 14, Judy or Steve, service officers for Montana Veteran Affairs, will be in their new location at Malta City Hall from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. If you would like to apply for benefits with the VA please come at the appointed time and bring a copy of you discharge/separation (DD214) papers with you. Call 406-265-4225 if you are interested.

Jim Schumacher Memorial

1-20. 2016 Jim Schumacher Memorial Livestock Day will be held January 20, 2016 at the Great Northern Lodge Room. A list of the speakers include: Implementing the Food and Drug Administration “Veterinary Feed Directive”, Dr. Dragon Momcilovic FDA Veterinarian (by internet), The feedlot sector, Wulf Cattle Feeding, Jerry Wulf, The science behind the antibiotic debate, Dr. Joseph Perrone, Chief Science Officer, Center for Accountability in Science (by internet) and Use of CO2 gun for administering medication to livestock, basic necropsy for livestock operators, Dr. Rick Levesque. Lunch will be sponsored by The Phillips County Chamber and Agriculture. Check next weeks’ article for more details.
